A blog for me to track content generation for NWN2 outside of any particular server. I'll eventually get to where screenshots of in-development content are shown off as well. My custom content ideas are covered under http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/

ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work Kaedrin! :) Any new ETA on when we can expect the 1.46 release? We really appreciate the time you put into your awesome work!
ReplyDeleteThat goes double here.
DeleteIndeed. Thank you for all your hard work this far.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. Waiting with anticipation (and gratitude!)
ReplyDeletewhen does 1.46 come out? the 1.42 has all missing spell entries (no clue what spell does - all i see is icons)
ReplyDeleteHey Kaedrin! Is the update still underway? :)
ReplyDeleteAre ye still alive lad?
ReplyDeleteHopefully everythings going your way, and while we are in no way entitled to it, any kind of shoutout would be nice! Good luck with whatever you're doing and know that your mods are used and beloved by loads of Dungeons and Dragons enthusiasts!

DeleteI hope the eldtritch glaive bug has been fixed. I can't get more than 2 hits with it no matter how high the BAB is.
ReplyDeleteHave you checked your CMI options in the mods Core 2da to check if your eldritch glaive attack cap isn't the issue?
DeleteI hope everything is okay
ReplyDeleteYeah, would be nice with some feedback to know if he's alright at the very least. Seems to be quite often when people get bogged down with IRL problems that they kinda disappear completely with no warning or feedback. It's been a few months now and with everything that's been going on in the world around the time of Kaedrins disappearance, I can only hope.
DeleteHope 2018 is the year of solid updates. Keep up the good work.

ReplyDeleteIs there any way we could check in on Kaedrin somehow? I know he used to work more closely with the mods of a few of the persistent world servers like Dalelands. Maybe they'd have a better sense of how he's doing? Just hoping he's ok and all.
ReplyDeleteHe's currently modding on the steam community workshop for Total War: Warhammer II. You can go join his thread and speak to him on there... I believe they even have a Discord going.

ReplyDeleteHope he is ok
ReplyDeleteK?
ReplyDeleteRIP?
ReplyDeleteAre you alive?
ReplyDeleteHe is just modding for Total War: Warhammer II as far as I know... Still active almost on the daily.
DeleteDed update :(
ReplyDeleteSeems like it. Still going to check occasionally though.
Deleteuhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDelete2 years.... Confirmed dead
ReplyDeleteIn NWN2 I found a half-built class- The Dragon Shaman. Dragon Shamans are cool, so I enabled it for play. But Dragon Shaman had no featmap, no favored skills, and, aside from dragon's breath, no draconic abilities... like the auras. Dragon Shamans get auras they can change on the fly- very much similar to the Bard's Inspirations.
ReplyDeleteIt was unplayable. So at first I thought I'd just paste over the Dragon Warrior stats and shit and thumbs-up all around. Didn't work. In a fit of frustration, I copied over the Dragon Disciple stats, featmaps, skill progressions and the like and DING! it worked. You have a Base Class with all the stats, favored skills, featmaps, and draconic progression of the Dragon Disciple PrC... up to level 10.
One of the things about Dragon Shamans that make them [Not Terrible] is their auras, which they can change, like, whenever. One moment you're getting +1 to attack, next moment you're getting +1 regen. But the game didn't have the auras. Only auras are for paladins and blackguards. Toyed with that idea; discarded it. You know what does work, though? Bardic Inspirations. Extremely similar to how the auras work.
I've successfully completed a 10 level non-PrC Dragon Shaman for Neverwinter Nights 2. "Successfully" is an optimistic term, because for some reason the "favored skills" keep switching back and forth, which makes skillpoint distribution all fucky, and I can't figure out why. I suspect it has to do with the "Bard Inspirations" I inserted into the Dragon Shaman package to function in place of draconic auras. Also, the Dragon Shaman can't fucking heal with Touch of Vitality, like it's supposed to in the fucking books. Just doesn't work. No fucking clue why.
I stopped caring and I don't want to do it anymore, so I quit.
Completely unrelated suggestion(s) for the Heartwarder PrC:
Required to choose your deity as Sune at character creation.
Give them either the Charm Domain or the Mentalism Domain, because they fit thematically, and you're taking a painful dip by taking the Heartwarder PrC. One or the other, doesn't have to be both.
The liklihood of you seeing any of this is probably zero, but I'm hoping you DO in fact see it, and you hopefully make the Dragon Shaman a viable class (because I can't fucking figure this shit out and I really want to fucking play an unfucked Dragon Shaman) and consider my Heartwarder suggestion.
K seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, perhaps literally even. Feels hella bad. 80% of the Nwn2 community loved his work and it seems no one else could figure out how to replicate his methods.
DeletePretty sure K was shot and killed in the Las Vegas attack way back. Based on articles I found surrounding a middle aged guy in the states. I feel like linking the info here would be a bit rude to his memory so you can just google for it.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I'm pretty sure that's not the case
DeleteHe has an account on another website where he has done a bit of modding for another game
He was last active there in 2019
And in 2018 he said he hasn't had much time but he had a release for NWN2 he'd try to one day finish
Which game does he mod for?
DeleteTotal War: Warhammer II
Delete@Nerthuz which game he is working on? I really miss him on nwn2 community
ReplyDeleteTotal War: Warhammer II
DeleteKaedrin is modding Total War: Warhammer II as far as I know on steam and is quite active. He even uses the "kaedrin.nwn2 @gmail.com" email for support on there as he has always done, which is why I'm assuming I'm correct. So... Not dead, just moved on to new things and I wish him well! <3
